Default Steering noise when turning left??

I have owned this 04 1500 ext. cab4x4 for about a month now and I noticedthat when I stop at a stop light and take off and turn left I hear a noise that sounds like the power steering is low on fluid. It only does it when I turn left and it isn't low on fluid. It isn't real loud but a bit annoying. Any suggesions??

well, if it's one way turn deal only, there are multiple options
1. driveshafts
2. i assume you bought it used. tires right size? not rubbing?
3. there's STB on silvies having noise problem while doing LEFT turns in tight spaces. something related to faulty suspension
4. hub bearings left front hub

I have the right size tires on it and I havn't seen any place where there may be a rub or anything. I was kind of leaning towards a power steering pump or rack and pinion due to the noise but don't know if either of these would only be an issue when turning one direction and it doesn't have to be a tight turn either. Is there a place I can check TSB's?

have you greased the zerks (if that is the right spelling) on your truck recently? my truck tends to make noises when i turn the wheel if the zerks are dry. try greasing them up and see if that does anything. its real easy to do. make sure you get all of them

Well tried the greasing and although it needed it nothing changed in the noise.

Thumbs up

im thinking wheel bearing!! and if you turn left it wouldnt be your left wheel bearing it would be your right because when you turn left it puts stress on the right same as when you trun left real sharp it throws you to the right is it wheel speed consitstant? the way to check it is to jack up the front of your truck there should be no play in the tire put hands at 6 and 12 oclock and shake the tire if theres play that is not coming from the ball joint its you hub assembly

on the left side of your tire? if you have play in your tire its a wheel bearing or ball joint
