Hi all,
New steering box, all suspension parts are tight and there is no movement in the suspension area.
There is quite a bit of play in the steering wheel while driving. Any thoughts why?
Thank you,

Have a helper turn the wheel back and forth while watching the column shaft that connects to the gear box. Look for play in the shaft u-joint(s).
The wheel doesn’t have to turn stop to stop - just until there’s resistance.
The key may need to be on to release the steering wheel lock.
