Default Sticky Accelerator - 2001 2500 HD

At about 135,000 miles +/- 5 years old, the accelerator pedal on my 2001 HD 2500 is sticky or has a "catch" immediately after starting when hot. I suspect it's something about the throttle body being dirty because it doesn't do it after I pump it a time or two with the engine running - I presume that's because the throttle body is slightly open and therefore is not touching enough to stick. FWIW, I had the same problem with the previous truck - 99 3500. Anybody know what caused this and what I should do to cure it?

Won't cost ya nothin' to make sure the Throttle Position Sensor is clean and free of debris...

You can clean the throttle plate with spray carb cleaner and an old toothbrush. Just block the throttle open spray and scrub all around and both sides of the throttle plate, wipe out with clean rag(lint free if available) and that should take care of any sticking problem in that area.

Sounds good. I hope it works. Seems like it might.
