My 2011 Silverado has 37,000 miles, Bought it with 34,000, and I noticed this since i bought it but never really paid attention to it since now but whenever i'm accelerating and motor gets to about 2500 rpm, it develops a whine and it's volume increases as the rpms climb. it kinda sounds like a supercharger as it gets higher up. i was wondering if anyone else has this problem or if it's a normal thing for the newer 5.3's. power steering pump is fine and full of fluid and all of the pulleys along with the belts are in good condition. i just wanted to get some input before i go through the hassle of bringing it to the dealer. Much appreciated guys.

Hello there chevybo1993,
Hopefully you hear from other owners soon - as we're not technicians we can't comment on whether something is normal. Let us know if you decide to get this checked out with a dealership as we're available to help in the process.
