I don't think the pressure is very high on TBI. The vortecs use like 60psi but I'm thinking TBI is like half that or even less than that. A o-ring kit from the parts store might be the thing to get. Still not sure what type of o-ring it is, been too long.

 

I think the pressure is between 12 or 13 psi, don't think there is an o-ring at the connection, it's more like a ANSI fitting or seated flare.

 

It may be that you have a flare fitting instead. Not sure...

 

What I'm talking about is the IGNITION COIL. Did you not just state in the original post that you HADN"T replaced it??

 

no i just replaced it with a MSD coil. it wa sonly 40 bucks at autozone and i just looked in my haynes and it does have orings thanks for your help guys

 

You might think this is off the wall but the details of this thread are interesting . So, when you slow down it bogs down. Take it a step further, when you apply the brakes or just coasting. If it bogs when you apply brakes, possibly you have a problem with the booster pulling to much vacuum and the engine is not recovering causing it to bog down.

 

Yeah that was one that I wanted to try but how do I test it? Not something easy and cheap that I could just replace you know? I hear know hissing up front like there is a leak when I press my brake peddle down at idke and then relase it as it is releasing the idle jumps a little but nothing major.

 

pinch the booster hose closed and see if the problem goes away. You will not have vac assist while it is pinched.

 

I had the hose unplugged and hooke to a vacuum gauge and the problem was still there would'nt this be the same thing? Thanks' guys for ideas it really helps
