Synthetic Oil?????????

If I want to change over to synthetic oil in my z71...is there anything I need to do special...or just do a normal oil/filter change and fill with synthetic????

Choose the right brand!!! but also use a motor flush like "5 minute motor flush"

Nothing special to do when switching and DO NOT use any non-lubricant solvent (such as 5-minute motor flush) in your crankcase ever!

I agree, never use a motor flush. I use Synthetic in all my autos including my 69' Camaro with no problems at all.

In a previous vehicle, I ran a fresh quart with the oil plug removed and let it drain out before filling with fresh oil - but I am sure it was overkill.
