temp sensor
usually if u have a blown head gasket u will see coolant in the oil, and ur coolant would smell like ehxhaust and u should see smoke or exhaust coming out of the coolant with the cap off... it doesnt always happen that way but those are good signs of blown head gasket.
well i have had coolant in my oil before but i kinda just ignored it which i am really embarresed to say but i know how big the job is and how spendy it could be so i didn't want it to be that problem. and it will usually drop down toabout 150 or 160 around there.
well i guess if u had it in there before more then likely thats what it is, seems like its putting air in the system and that bubble passes by the sensor and drops the temp. wjhat state are u from? i mean if your close by i wouldnt have a problem lending you a hand
yes because its pushing hot exhaust through the gasket into the coolant and making it hotter. and if its going that high and then dropping its usually from an air bubble passing by the temp sensor.
