Default RE: temperature in rear view mirror

There is a sensor in the grill area that measures the air temperature. The temp display in the mirror will read SC or OC if the sensor is bad, or if there is problem with the wiring, or if one of the connectors at the sensor or at the mirror does not have a good connection. Did any of the dealers do any testing of the sensor or wiring to try to find the problem?

you can pull the connector from the sensor and jump the 2 terminals with a paper clip.if the temp is still oc you likely have a wiring problem.rodents like to chew wires under the underhood fuse block.may want to look there.
