Default rear view mirror temp

ok so i put in a Nav unit in my 07 tahoe and i noticed that the temperature reading is off it is saying it is 28 degrees when it is like 100(central california weather)i took it to the dealer and they are saying they might not warrenty it because i have a custom grill and Hids has anyone ran into this problem? does anyone how i could fix it? please help thanks

This is an EASY one.... When you hooked up your VSS wire, you chose the wrong Green/White wire. There's another one on the right side of the wiring block. I know this because I did the same exact thing and posted the same exact question!!!!

Once I fixed it, all was back to the way it should be -- no harm, no foul.

oh thanks for the info. the dealer couldnt find the problem either they just order a new mirror. I switched the wires and now everything is cool. and thank you again for the help
