installing rear view mirror with temp. gauge
I believe this question would apply to any model chevy.
My wife has a 2009 Trailblazer 4x4. She wishes it had the temperature gauge like she had in her previous ride, a 2000 blazer.
I called the dealer and talked to the service manager about getting one installed and he said they come on the rear-view mirror, and they'd have to take out the headliner to run the temperature sensor wiring to the outside of the vehicle, and made it sound like it just isn't practical to do this. He suggested I just get the kind of generic temp. gauge that you stick to your dash and runs on regular batteries. He didn't give me an estimate of what it would cost. I figured it was uncharted territory for them.
Has anyone installed one of these, or at least have an idea of how much work it is to remove the headliner and run the outside temp probe wires?
Thanks.
