My 07 suburban rear view temp reading stop working and the mirror want come on. My light indicator on the dash for my fog lights dont work also. I stop by the dealer and ask a service manager what could be the problem and he said that " it " may need to be reprogram. What is he talking about. I ask if it could be a fuse and he said no. By reprogram does he mean just disconnect neg. battery cable for a few seconds to reset the ECU? Help please. My truck dont even have 10000 miles on it yet.

 

many of the options on the vehicle have to be enabled via the on board computers, and by "reprograming" they mean updating the software so that a particular function will work.
sometimes a glitch can cause so functions to stop working and reprogramming enables those features to work again...
