Ticking/clicking sound
Hi all,
I've got an '04 Silverado SSC w/ 96K. It has this ticking/clicking sound from underneath the truck that is synchronous with forward or reverse speed. It sounds like it might be related to PIP 3105D that I have seen discussed on past threads (Prop Shaft). A local shop suspects the transfer case and wants to do some exploratory surgery but I'm not ready for that. Truck runs great, no drive-ability issues. Is there way to confirm it is the prop shaft other than by replacement? How do I determine the correct replacement P/N.?
2004,5.3,Ext. Cab, 6.5 bed,M30 & G80.
Thanks for your help
