Hey folks,

I am very new to this...I have a question concerning my new 2008 Silverado - I noticed there was a tear in the carpet near the front side of the drivers seat. When I ask the service manager about it, he said it was suppose to be there for wires......I hope there are never any wires coming out that hole the tear is approx. 4 1/2 inches long.

So could some of you who own 2008 Silverados' look and see if you have one too, or if I need to go Old Testament on the service manager.

i know that under the driver side seat is an air bag module and there is a lfap that is cut at the factory for access to this without pulling carpet

 

Its for if you want to add speakers like a sub in the back, you'll have to run the wires under the carpet to keep them hidden, thats why the hole is there.
