I ordered a set of AC Delco Iridium spark plugs (p/n 41-110) along with an AC Delco spark plug wire set (p/n 9748HH) to install in my 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (4.8L V8). Can somebody point me to the correct torque setting to set my torque wrench to when installing the plugs please? Thanks!

 

You just need to snug them. A "snug" is 12 ft lbs of torque.
a good setting for spark plugs is 12 - 14 ft lbs of torque.
So just snug it, maybe 1 extra little jerk and you are good.

I installed the AC Delco Iridium plugs and wires in my truck this morning. Tightened to about 13.5lbs of torque. All were easy to replace except the one on the passenger side next to the firewall. That one required a u-joint socket adapter. The truck runs much better now! Once the overdrive kicks in, it now requires 500 RPMs less to cruise. Cool!
