Default tow/haul light INOP 2008 silverado

hello,
I got a 2008 silverado 4.8l 4x4, and my tow haul light is now inop. I am going to pull it in the shop tonite, what color wires in the steering colum control this, also I have a edge programmer in my truck but had it in there for two years wonder if that may effect this problem
is there a fuse for the tow haul light or a module or something
thanks
mike

the two wires from the switch are enclosed in orange loom. the wiring is known to break. Inspect it where it routes through the steering column covers and under the knee bolster.

Does anyone know if the tow/haul switch is an "always on" or "always off" switch.

I dont have enough wire to splice together, so I was goign to add a switch where it broke (at the plastic clip) and put it on the dash.
