transmission

hey hows it going!!!i have 95 gmc k3500 with 8 lug 1ton suspension that has a busted4l80e transmission.my buddy found a 89 chevy 2500 with 8lug suspension its a light duty truck with a 4l60e transmission.my question is will a 4l60e trans work in my 95 1ton??or do i need a 4l80e?thank you
