I have a 98 z71 with a 5.7 liter with 170k miles. Recently the transmission would stop pulling and the engine would rev up, I could turn the truck off and then restart and it would go for a little farther. It finally got to where it will not pull at all, the engine runs fine. Checked the fluid and it is fine, any ideas?

Your transmission needs overhauled or replaced. There's no easy fix when they slip.
