my silverado 1500 2wd has never gone into second gear. it high revs 1st and goes streight into 3rd.. and the other day the service engine soon light came on and it wouldnt go into 4th or 5th.. does anybody have any suggestions for me? thank you all!!

 

What is the code that posted on your CEL?

 

i forget what the actually code was it threw but it said shift sensor.. si im guessing either transmission speed sensor or shift solenoid but im unsure and i knew this would be the place to find out.
