Default Upgrading Headlights, need feedback. Please.

So I have a 2008 new body silverado and im looking to upgrade my headlights. I looked at the HID bulbs but instead decided on going with Halo angel eyes headlight(love they way they look) plus if im not mistaken i think i can put some HID kits in them as well in the future.

so my thing is, does anyone else here have halos on thier new body? if so can u post pics, and what brand did u get.

me im trying to decided between the Spyder pro-yd-cs07-hl-cl

or the Recon 264195cl

if u look closely they both look exactly the same (except the recons cost twice as much), but the recons chrome looks more shinier, to me anyways.

posting this to get some feed back on what ya guys think, please share.

I'm sure they are cool, but I just don't like wasting the money.
Just my 2 cents....

I too love the angle eye/halo look.
The guy I bought my truck from put some fake looking
Knock off type of HID lights, I can't see anything at night time.
It is just a bulb that sits inside of a little protruding clear dome
And I guess it is supposed to look like HID.
I was wanting to go with Angel eyes like you, but only for the right price.

I think they both look sick, you say the shinier ones are twice as much,
Well how expensive are the cheaper ones?
If the more expensive ones are more than like $140 or whatever,
I would go with the less expensive ones. Shiny is not worth that much to me.

Ya, $400 for a headlight is nuts.
I mean, if you are makin bank go for it, but I couldn't justify $400 on headlights.
It is not like the cheaper ones look like crap anyway, I would go for those.

And if you think about it, just the way a flash is angled could be exacerbating just how
Shiny the more expensive one is. Notice how the background to the expensive ones is black?
The black surrounding could be adding contrast making them appear shinier
And vise versa for the less expensive ones.

But anyway, that is just my opinion. Both look good.

im new to the forum but have had much experience with hids and different headlight housings. if you look on ebay you can find good and real hid kits by xentec for around $40 shipped. just make sure to request the slim ballasts from the seller they work the best of all. as for the angel eyes they have a tendancy to make whatever light you put in them much dimmer than stock or similar to stock housings.
