At 24k miles I had my waterpump in my 6.0 replaced under warranty. At 48k(just out of warranty) I had to replace it again. The repair was almost laughably easy, as parts for the Vortec 6.0 were readily available, and the pump was accessible. I wound up replacing the very heavy stock fan clutch with a much lighter aftermarket one.

This got me wondering how many other Silverado owners with 6.0s were burning out their waterpumps prematurely...
