I have a 2012 5.3 Chevy Silverado 1500 2wd

we checked my pulleys and my belt. Very irregular, usually after a sharp turn (rarely from a stop going straight) it’s a squeal that kinda sounds like a belt but not as high pitch. It doesn’t happen every time. But after a turn when I straighten out it’ll start, then when I let go of the petal it’ll go away and if I step back on it’s gone.

 

Welcome to the forum from Florida. What is very irregular? If it is the belt, you should change it and maybe the tensioner and the idler.

 

that’s the thing, we have checked and it doesn’t seem to be the belt or anything. The sound is irregular as in, it doesn’t happen every time. It is a hit or miss if it happens or not. I have a video of the sound but I’m not quite sure how to post it

 

Check your power steering fluid level.
