Hey guys, got a beautiful 96 Chevy Silverado 1500. She's got 300k miles on her and just getting started. Drove great this morning. Went to drive her around this afternoon and the automatic shifter all of a sudden was completely free and loose. Looked down under the truck and found these two parts seperated.
I tryed pushing them back together and they fit. But I can tell they wont stay. Like its missing a small bushing or something. I've tryed to find this online but no luck. What am I missing? What is it called and where can I get it. I need my truck for work on monday
When that broke on my Trailblazer, I drilled it out and put a shoulder bolt with a lock nut in. Never had a problem again. It was also much cheaper then buying the cable and also did not have to go through the work of putting in the new cable.
