Default What gears?????

I have an 2004 chevrolet silverado 1500 with a 5.3L engine and have had no luck locating my gear ratio on this transmission. Can someone please designate what gear this is or how I may determine this???

I agree, most likely 373s. You can take your vin to any dealer and the will tell you. OR, you can jack your rearend up, put a mark on the driveshaft and one on your tire. Rotate the tire one full circle while counting the full number of turns the driveshaft makes. most likely your driveshaft will make 3 full rotations and 3/4 of the last rotation=3.73, if the driveshaft rotates just a little past 4 full rotations then you have 4.11.
