Default what is this part?

Im gonna try and load a pick of this part its right above my skid plate and its leaking some kin of oil. Sorry for being a noob. My front drive axle links into it

I think so looked at it better and thats what its bolted to should just be a bad gasket hope its not too hard to fix

there is no gasket for the case. they use a anerobic sealant.

When the fluid leaks everywhere like what you have; I'd wash it all off. drive it and re-check. then you can tell exactly where its from.

I can pretty much tell its coming out around those bolts. Is there anyway to fix it?

drain the diff
mark and remove the right stub shaft
remove the right side of the front diff
clean and apply the proper sealer

to clarify:
if your splitting the case, the diff will have to come out. If its just at the acutator/axle shaft (you can see 3 of the bolts in the pic) you can leave the diff in the truck.
