Default What is this sound when shut off engine?

My 2010 Silverado started making a weird noise when I shut it off. I don't even really know how to explain the noise, but it sounds like it is coming from the front of the engine. Maybe the water pump or something. I do not hear the noise when the engine is running and it does not seem to make the noise when I shut it off once the engine is warm. Below are links to a couple videos showing the noise. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi there,

Very sorry for this, and we would be happy to look into this further for you. Please let me know in a private message if you need any additional assistance into the dealership. Be sure to include your VIN, current mileage contact information and a preferred dealership. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Check your all your pulleys, may have a bearing on its way out. I want to say water pump, almost like the impeller is hitting the case when winding down, but I don't want to send you in the wrong direction. Let us know what fixes it.

2010Silvy , welcome to the forum
I would suggest taking the AC drive belt off and trying, that will identify or remove the AC and pulley as an issue...
Then try the main serpentine belt, you may get codes set without the belt, but it will identify or remove the crank as an issue...
and with the belt off you can manually turn the others...
