Default What year rear ends will fit in my 2001 Silverado 1500?

I have a 2001 Silverado 1500, that has hurt the rear end. Pretty sure it has eaten the teeth on the pinion. I'm looking at options of rebuilding my current rear vs replacing it with another used unit. I know I have a code GT4 rear which is a 373 ratio. My question is, what other year trucks can I get a rear end from? What about suburbans and 2500?

Thanks for any help and guidance!

Andy

I'd try and stay within the 01-06 range as everything would be bolt up no problems. You can do a 2500 swap but takes a lil more work. Have to make sure the ratio is the same, and if so need to swap the axles out hit 6 lug instead of 8.
