Default What's legal for CA?

I have a question, I want to get a little more umph/power I guess, from my 5.3 in my silverado, but I went to K&N filters website and all of their performance intakes are not street legal in CA. Is there any intakes that will give me a small amount of performance or better improvement in air flow etc that is street legal in CA? I don't really want a exhaust and or a tune since those run for a lot of money but was hoping make a air filter or intake or something? Thanks.

I know what you are talking about, I lived there for 18 years, luckily I was driving a pre-smog pickup. You should look in to S&B filters and CAI's (www.sbfilters.com), thier headquartsis there in Ontario CA, and should be street legal. You can always call and ask, they have an excelent costmer service! I have a S&B CAI in my current pickup and love it! (see sig below) This site may also help: http://www.thetruthaboutfilters.com/
