Default "Whining" sound when 4x4 is on

Hey folks, I own a 2002 Silverado 1500 LS model. Its got around 220,000 k on it but it runs awesome. The only thing I have noticed about it is when I turn on the 4x4, you start to hear a type of whining sound on it. I am just wondering if this is anything bad, and if anyone had ever had a similar scenario.

Another problem is its telling me to get my engine oil changed when i just changed it 2 months ago. Since the day i changed it to now, the light never went away.

Any ideas? thanks.

I'm not sure bout the whining. But for your oil change light while the vehicle is in park, and running. hit the trip odometer button. I'm not sure about you yr model but keep hitting it until something bout the oil comes up then hold the button down. It should also have information in your trucks owners manual to. I would also change your oil when you reset it to sync everything.
