Default Wire harness questions please help.

Here is what I am trying to work on. I just bought a 2003 gmc sierra 2500. It is a work truck so no nice features like pw or pl. So I would like to put oem keyless entry in it. My first question is will all the wire harnesses have the connections for the bcm and door actuators or did gm put different harnesses in trucks that did not have these features? Then my second question would be (if the harness will work) what is all needed to install this I know i need the bcm, door actuators, is a pdm required? I know I will have a ton more questions but lets start there. I really appreciate any help you can give me.
Thanks
Dennis

no go on anything factory...not worth the headache and agravation

You can install aftermarket actuators and a keyless entry module...hell while your at it, put a remote starter in and use the keyless entry function of the starter....2 birds with one stone

Thank you for your response. Darn, LOL. I really wanted to use factory stuff because i also want to put in power windows. I guess I still will but have to figure a different way of doing it. So any recomendations on a keyless entry and remote start? I would love to have both on one remote.
Thanks

Pretty much anything made by direced electronics is good. I also like compustar. Never had an issue with either one of these products provided its installed properly. When you are getting the by-pass module, do not buy the one that controls the door-locks. It only controls the factory door locks not aftermarket ones and is more expensive than just the passlock bypass. A module that works great and has the least amount of problems, in my experiance, is the PLJX made by http://www.bypasskits.com/
