Wiring Confusion

more info.

The two wires (2c) are for if you tow a trailer that requires a 7 prong plug. The Blue is the trailer brake wire that run all the way into the cab, and the red/orange wire is a direct power source from your battery to the trailer.

the brown wireis the parkin light wire for the taillights one side of the plug is the feed from the truck and the other side is to the tailights it splits off and goes where it needs which side of your plug is bad i might have one on an old parts truck i would have to look

Thaks, Northey... I couldn't wait, so I went out and simply stuffed a bare ended wire into the plug and smashed the plug into it. Then connected my new wire into the wire coming from the front. Eureka! Parking lights are back on. The turn signals still didn't work, so I took apart the light housings and cleaned them up. There was this crusty tan stuff (looked like paste that had dried) all over the base of the bulbs. I brushed it off and put it all back together and it worked!

Now... power locks.

That pastey stuff helps to keep corrosion and water out of the bulbs
