ok so I have a 96 cheyenne k1500 and it has a 4.3 vortec with the 4l60e. So I was out in the woods got stuck and used the 4wheel drive and everything was good then got stuck again and it was all bad from there. first I lost reverse and the truck goes forward in every gear now and it wont engage in 4 wheel drive. is it just because of the tranny or did I mess up the transfer case too? And was really sucks is only a tranny in a 96 or 97 with a 4.3 will work so its been slow getting my truck fixed. I heard I could use a tranny from an s10 with the 4.3 will work as long as its a 96 or 97. Help im lost and need my truck back.
