Default Back up and running

Everyonewho tried to access the CF or a number of other AFU forums between the evening of May 18th and the evening of May 19th know that there was a technicalerror with the forum itself. The forum underwent emergency maintenance and is now back online due to the hasty workof the AFU Tech staff. It is unclear what caused the error, but AFU is probably working hard to prevent it happening again.

There was what looked like somesort of hack injection. An advertisement was reloading itself so quickly that I was here for about 30 seconds and it filled up around 250mb worth of internet explorer cache. I don't remember the exact name of the domain is was downloading the script from but these are getting fairly common around the net. I had to deal with something similiar at work.

To be exact I think it may be what is called an "SQL Injection". To further educate yourself:

Thanks markofthebeast. I'll have to clear my cache. No telling how much it has slowed my computer down. I run Avant now. IE and Opera mess up too bad and I don't like Firefox. Avant has a more expanded cache than IE.
Jeremy probably hit the nail on the head with his hacker speculation

Yep markofthebeast is right, it was a form of injection. I think the layman term is script injection. I knew as soon as I saw it that we would be down for a while until it got all cleaned up.

I consider the CF lucky to be up this quick. Many of the AFU forums are still down. Must have been an extremely malicious cyberattack against AFU.
