Well got to comment Thread got moved?
i take exception to you giving credit to only two people, staff members, who are pro mech. basically what you're saying is that the only ones who should be here, or answer anything is pro mech. moderators/staff members. not cool. i'm not a "paid" or "pro" mechanic, but i've turned more than my share of wrench, and certainly been able to help here quite a bit. i don't know all, nor claim to.
as far as loading, no, the admin has no control over that as the site is built and run by a seperate company, Internet Brands, who are responsible for quite a few forums/web sites. the only way you're gonna get faster loading is to pay for sites like this. the ads and popups are what keep this, and other sites, free to browse, free to join, free to access, but yes, at a price.
i guarantee no one here is trying to rattle your cage, we are just letting you know how you are coming across. and it's not just one person either. my suggestion, either enjoy the site as best you can, help where you can, be friendly, or maybe not visit anymore. the staff prides itself on maintaining a friendly site, not a bash fest like other forums. the choice is yours.

We encourage many responses from more and less experienced members for a couple of reasons. First, any one member may simply communicate better with any given OP.
Second, the tech help from our very knowledgeable pro mechanics is pure platinum, and assuredly helps many more than post here.
Sometimes the viewpoint of a private member who experienced the exact problem as the OP can help the most.
Many times I've also found the private garage owner or shade-tree mechanic has a special insight to a problem, solely because they're in the same working environment as a lot of other members.
Give me a choice, and I'll take a variety of different responses from different camps over the single- answer "stump the PRO" approach any day.
The post in the original thread, was somewhat inaccurate as well as insensitive. We have other mechanics here.We have a lot of people who work on their cars and trucks who specialize in one or two specific areas with many years of experience and good advice to offer.
To ALL members who post constructive advice and threads, and your eye-poppin' pictures of your righteous custom rides, on behalf of the whole Chevy Forums Staff, I want to thank you for including us in your Chevy experience.
As to the load times and graphic content, that's the other purpose of this site. I've had four different laptops on which I've loaded this site on public WIFIs, and the graphics haven't deterred me from loading the site, ever. 1500+ rather windy posts attest to that fact. The problem is, more than likely, either a software or a hardware issue at your end.
We customize and repair our vehicles, we talk about it. We brag. We post pictures. We post other video and you-tube. This is who we are. This is what we do. Get used to it.
As to threads being in the wrong sections, there are always going to be some like that,no matter what you do. Sometimes a thread addresses two issues and choices have to be made. Sometimes the threads get moved, and yes, sometimes they don't. My advice to you about that is let it go. Don't obsess about it too much.
If pro mechanics with ongoing projects are running sites, more power to them. We don't mind. Maybe they are more proficient, knowledgeable, or somehow simply better than us. Maybe they put their pants on both legs at once, only fart in wind tunnels, and never get dandruff. We don't care.
Now I'm going to hold the wolves at bay for the last time, and issue a word to the wise. Because actual moderating and banning is not my preferred style.
Once, and for all, THIS SUBJECT IS CLOSED.
