Default 2006 aveo electrical issues

Out of the blue, passenger side parking lights came on with DRL's, dash lights and interior light quit working. Dealer replaced light switch. Now all
parking lights on with DRL's. Airbag warning light on. Pulled both parking
light fuses, lights are still on. Pulled IGN 2 fuse and lights went off.
Anyone else with this issue or ideas? Thanks.

I know exactly what your problem is. Open the hood, remove the cover of the fuse block by the battery. and you will see on the left side of the fuse block a white connector 1/2 inch wide and 2 inches long, it will be melted and shorted causing your problem.

Sounds like the auto light sensor relay is out, or the fuse is bad. One other thing to check would be your dimmer switch, on the left of the steering wheel.
If it's bad or unpluged your dash lights may not work.. just a thought before you take it in somewhere.

I believe the reference to the 1/2 wide "wire" is a fuseable link. I basically is the same as a fuse.
