2007 Chevy Aveo Manual Transmission HELP NEEDED
So I have a silver 2007 Chevy Aveo 5 speed manual. Recently I was taking off at a stoplight and the car jerked forward then back (like how rollercoaster carts feel when they stop at the end of the ride) and I immediately had to pull to the shoulder because i couldn’t go into gear any longer. Upon further observation after the car was towed home, I realized the shifter linkage was disconnected. I fixed that really quick and went to test drive slowly. The Car jerked again so I went back under the hood. I realized the motor was able to rock a solid 4-6 inches front to back. So I installed a new a back lower motor mount. Now the engine sits like it should but when I move the shifter to put it in gear it feel like it’s going into a slot but not quite right and the car won’t move. I’m thinking something’s disconnected inside the transmission? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you
