Atf
I decided that at 65,000 miles, maybe I should change the ATF and filter in our 2010 Aveo. I decide that because I will only be changing what fluid comes out of the pan, I should put the same fluid back in so I take the GM part number that I found in the owners manual to a local dealer. I find that they want $15.00 per quart. I can get it for $10.42 on line but I have to buy 6 quarts (it shouldn’t take more than 4) and I have to pay shipping charges. I checked the local auto parts store for after market ATF and was told that their computer shows that I can use Toyota's brand. Not sure if I trust that information or not so I passed. Next issue is the filter. The local auto parts stores don’t even list a transmission filter for an Aveo newer that 2007. In 2007 they took a filter that goes in the cooling line. The dealer wants $102.00 for a frickin filter. On line price is $52.00 plus shipping. It has 65,000 miles and a 100,000 mile drive train warranty. Maybe I won't bother to change it. GM's economy car isn't very economical.
