Does the 08 Aveo have the timing belt problem?
From reading the forum and NHTSA complaints, it looks like the '04 models have significant problems with timing belts. Is this problem limited to the '04 MY, or did it continue until an apparent design fix in the '10 MY?

in 2009 the aveo 1.6 liters went to a much improved belt design. follow the service manual belt interval. when you change the belt...get a kit that includes the idler pulleys and water pump.
not sure the year but chevy eventually dropped the crap 1.6L daiwou engines and put in a much improved 1.4 or 1.8
