yes, their lack of popularity, features, and reliability spelled doom for them.

Angry Run far far away from any Aveo

I have had nothing but problems with my 2009 Aveo. I have tried to work with GM to buy mine back for the past 3 months. I was insulted by the ridiculous offer. I have had problems with this car since day 1

Angry AVEO Lemonaide?

Yes we do have Lemon laws in CA. The offer was a GM loyalty certificate to purchase another GM car I still owe over 6K on this one

It's Daewoo and I haven't seen seen any excitement here in Ontario over the Sonic.....BTW I'm running a 2008 Aveo5 LT and so far I've been very pleased with it!

thats great that is going well for you; just don't be a km late on the timing belt change.
I had an 04 sedan last week come in with a broken timing belt idler pulley...168 000km....over $2000 was the quote to repair. That engine is a time bomb. never seen one in the shop make it over 200 000km.

Yup...i am fully aware of the timing belt change which is no different than the many Honda's that i've owned in the past. As far as I know the key is to have it inspected periodically during that 60,000 mile/100,000 km (5 years)time.....this is the key to have GM on the hook for the repairs since it shows that you were proactive during the maintenace of the vehicle. No inspection during that timeframe then you will be "SOL" or going through a long battle to have it repaired under warranty.
