Default Performance Parts? W/O voiding warranty

Was wanting to know if anyone has found any aftermarket parts to up the HP and TQ. Really need to pep this thing up. One main concern is voiding the manufacteurs warranty!

Performance parts? I can't even get STOCK parts. Had to order an engine air filter from Philadelphia. Also the interior filter, and no one at the dealer could show me how to bend it to get it in. They were surprised I had to pull out the glove box. Oh, those plastic hinges aint gonna last long.</P>

if you live in the USA, there was a law passed that states that for a simple thing, like a cold air intake, to void your warranty, the dealership has to prove beyond a doubt that it caused the warranty issue.</P>

AVEO HORSEPOWER AND TORQUE EASY TO IMPROVE</P>

Gettingnoticeable horsepower and torque increase in the Aveo is really easy and inexpensive. </P>

Remove the useless Airbox, and ONLY the air box.You will have to keep it for warranty work. Some dealershipswill void your factory engine warranty , if you bring your AVEO in for repair, and they see that you have a "MODIFIED ENGINE" .(sick!) It's really easy to put back on.</P>

Order the performance air filter; RACTIVE SUPER FLOW HEATSHIELD FILTER SF#007,$25 CANADIAN ,from www.toucanindustries.com or www.jbspowercentre.com This air filter only allows air flow thru a specially designed air channeling port on one end of the filter. The rest of the filter is heat shielded. The rubber coupling end of the filter will slip perfectly over the end of the AVEO's factory rubber air hose. You will have to get a piece of PVC Pipe or Metal Tube to slip into the end of the AVEO's Air line, so you can properly tighten the included hose clamp over the mating area of the air filter and factory air hose. Make sure that their are NO loose particles on this part, as they will get sucked into your engine. Position the open end of the new Air Filter over the cold air port thatwas attached to the factory air box. It's a pretty good size and will draw fresh cold air into you performance air filter. This setup should produce 10-15 hp . For even more horsepower and torque get a Silicone Rubber elbow and Hose kit , designed especially to fit over the open end of the RACTIVE air filter ,from www.jbspowercentre.comFit one end of the rubber elbow over the open end of the performance filter, attach a piece of rubber or PVC tube on the other end, and position this end into the AVEO's cold air port. You now have a true Cold Air Induction System! for only $100 Canadian. You will definitely notice a great improvement in you AVEO's get-up-and-go. I did!</P><edited><editID>SUMYUNGGUY</editID><editDate>38578.1844907407</editDate></edited>

lol @ 10-15 hp increase. more like 4-5.</P>

Anyone know if the timing is electronically controlled? You could try bumping up the timing on the dyno and using some higher octane fuel. It will increase throttle response, and pickup a few hp.</P>

Really other than I/E there isnt too much to do to this car... I have been looking for other mods but havent found any yet.</P>

Other than that there really isnt much offered for the Aevo performance. You might try searching for parts for the Daewoo Kalos since that was the Aveo before GM rebadged it and brought it to America.</P>

Edit ~&gt; UDP group buy... http://www.daewootech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2562</P>

Mentions of a d16 header... http://www.daewootech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3729</P>

Header is a bit more obvious yes, but I am sure that with some creativity the heat shields could hide it well.</P><edited><editID>D323</editID><editDate>38660.7536921296</editDate></edited>

This may already be floating around, but I bought an intake, ignition wires and lowering springs from this site. </P>

http://www.gravanatuning.com</P>

The intake and plug wires provided a noticable improvement in bottom end. I drove up and picked the parts up in person to save shipping and the guys there were totally into their Aveo. I have not installed springs yet because I am waiting for wheels and tires so I can do alignment and everything all at once.</P>

I'm new to this forum, but I've had my aveo about a year now. I have the sedan and it seems like all the body kits/spoilers are for the hatch. Other than universal type spoilers, have any of you found anything for the sedan?

Listen, when you buy a part for your car i.e.: motor - you are cover under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act - http://www.magnusonproducts.com/magnusonmoss.htm, dont let anyone tell you otherwise.. You are covered under the car/parts/dealer warrenties.. Dont let them (dealer or anyone else) push you around for changing a part in/on your car/truck..
