Default 79 c20

I always wanted to do an old truck and I have a farm truck i got a c20 flatbed. I know nothing about it just always wanted to do it. I drove it here but needs an engine replacement or overhaul. It seemed under powered. Anyone know of any good books as I want to go through the 4 wheel drive system and possible stroker engine. It's an extra truck as I have a 3500 dually for farm work. Really need to learn it all due to i was a carpenter not a mechanic. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

I'm a mod on another form (http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?action=forum). This site is good here but the amount of tech pages and writeups we have you will find everything you need, plus if you have questions people will be able to tell you or point you in the right direction.

Again this is no knock on this site as I'm also a mod on here, but the amount of specific info youll find over there is insane.
