I have a 2017 Chevy Sonic with a USB1 and USB2 port. I use both and switch between them to listen to music. It was working fine until I got into the car this morning. Suddenly there was no music, and the panel just read a radio station. When I pressed the USB1 or USB2 buttons on the panel they didn't respond. I pulled out the thumbdrives, put them in, one at a time, even restarted the car, nothing changed.

Any suggestions?

 

Welcome from Florida. Did you check for blown fuses? As with all electrical problems it is best to check your fuses first.

 

thank you! Well, randomly, it decided to start working today. Whaddya know! Hopefully, it was just some weird glitch and I'm OK from now on. I love my little car and hope this was just it.

 

Problem solved. I stored the car for a while waiting for my stepdaughter to buy it. During that time, I disconnected the battery so it would not drain and not be ready when I wanted to start the car. I got to thinking and connected my code reader and found no DTCs. Then I erased all codes and restarted the engine. The door locks work correctly now.
