01 tahoe transmission issues questions
So i am helping a friend who has a 2001 tahoe with high miles.
his tranny went out about 6-8 months ago and we replaced with a low mileage tranny, all has been good until now.
It will shift from 1st-2nd no issues, fast of slow
when it shifts to 3rd it doesnt seem to slip but it wont engage unless you are up to like 4k+ rpms and it will engage and then shift to 4th fine.
Its like 3rd will not engage until around 4k+ rpms.
1,2, & 4th all work fine. you can manually leave it in 3rd and same thing. once engage it will stay engage as long as at high rpms, but if you let it go below 4k rpm it will disengage. any ideas? thanks
