Default '02 Front driver's side leather seat cover and cushion

I have a friend who is looking to replace his leather seat cover and cushion with factory items to match the rest of the interior. He recently purchased the truckused and the only wear is on the driver's side seat, normal wear, and the rest of the interior is absolutely mint. I can't seem to find the original oem part numbers. The interior color is light tan (sandstone?). If anyone has a way to look up original factory part numbers (a shop reference maybe?), it would be much appreciated. Thanks very much in advance!!!

Default 02 Front Drivers side leather seat cover

You can find the exact interior configuration from the VIN number. There are numerous seat cushion OEM replacement sites listed on ebay. If you send them the VIN number, they can match the exact color of that vehicle. Also, OEM is somewhat deceptive. GM farms out hundreds if not thousands of their parts to local Detroit (and others) sub vendors to supply them with the original equipment that is included in their current model production year. Seat cushions are nothing more than slip covers over factory frames. There are a number of video's showing how to do this. One I found interesting was www.theseatshop.com

Default Correct installation

I am a perfectionist. I notice things that are slightly off center. Might be because of my compulsive behavior or other disorders I might have, but I must comment on the photos. I seldom would ever address a senior member or a forum but the photos indicate the covers were not install with factory specs. First off, you will notice that the bottom cushion does not fit snugly. If you observe the lower left hand corner, there is some play in the material. you should be able to bounce a dime off of any corner or center of the cushion. Underneath the slip cover is a foam patting. Had you simply used a steam cleaner which you could have bought at any Walmart for under forty dollars, the foam would have snapped back to original condition. With time, the foam rubber will compact and become smaller. With steam, and I do mean hold the steam unit on each section for several minutes, not seconds and wait for it to regain it's original shape. You will also observe that their is Velcro strips throughout the seat. Make sure you attach this correctly. Finally, their are a number of "hog rings" and you can not miss even one of those. That will give you a tight fit. It is not an easy job to install "slip covers" and professional upholstery shops will know how to install these for approximately one hundred dollars per seat. If you do not have the patience of job, I would suggest using one of these services. Just my two cents and I deeply apologize for pointing this out, but it might help someone else tearing their hair out trying to get this right.

Mrs. Cusser loved those seat covers, was overjoyed. These covers enabled us to keep the 2005 Yukon at least 4 more years, and then it sold in a day. The covers were installed in Mesa AZ by the manufacturing facility.

We bought this 2005 back in 2010 with a dent in the rear quarter panel, which we never got fixed. It was used for some vacations and for towing a horse trailer. We do not purchase vehicles to impress neighbors, etc. I drive 1988 Mazda truck, 1998 Frontier, 2004 frontier, and 1970 and 1971 VWs that I've owned over 45 years each.
