Default 02 sensors won't budge any tricks ?

I can't get my two 02 sensors loose to save my life....my 99 hoe is being a bit stubborn.

I've tried heating them up, spraying them down with spray ( bolt loosener ) and putting allot of elbow grease into getting them loose.

Any tips, tricks or input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Are you using the socket for it, or wrench? I'd use a box end wrench with cheater

I was using a wrench ( no box end ) without a cheater...I couldn't find anything to fit over my wrench... I will make that happen. Thanx for the input kevinkpk

In my experience you have have to heat the fitting up. Know someone with a torch?

I second the cheater method.... a 3/4 inch piece of EMT or Electrical Metallic Tubing with one end pounded down to widen the end to fit over your ratchet will do...and you can customize the length to your needs, I have found that 18-22 inches does it...

Might try an impact wrench if you can get to it.

GOT THEM - but how the hell do you get the plugs undone ? I can't seem to get the far back plug unplugged. It's up above the transfer case / gear box and there is not much room to move. I can't get a screwdriver up there to pry it apart. Is it simplier than I'm making it out to be ?

* I tried out the new WD-40 rust kill / bolt loosener.
1. First I sprayed the 02 sensors in question. Then sprayed a second time.
2. Fired up the MAP gas and heated one side / don't have to make it glow.
3. Bought a long 7/8 wrench and with a little elbow grease they both broke free.
4. Victory - but now I can't seem to get the electrical connectors free ! doh !

Be sure the new ones have plenty of anti-seize on the threads. Sounds like these didn't.
