03 RPM Gauge

Having trouble with my RPM gauge, sometimes it would idle @about 4k and shoot up to 6k and get stuck up there even after turning ignition off & on. Following day however everything's back to normal. It has happened about 4 times in the last couple of monthssince I first notice.Any help is always appreciated.

I HAVE REPLACED MANY GM CLUSTERS FOR MANY PROBLEMS INCLUDING THIS ONE.
