Thanks, yeah $139 is not a bad investment for a repair like this, It will just take up one of my saturdays.

Water Pump is very easy on these. Takes less than 1 hour in the shop with all the correct tools on hand.

Cool, then I will do the both of them on the same day, do you drain the system or just pinch the hoses so they dont drain out?, I need to do the oil on both of them too.

Default whats with all the water pumps and fuel pumps

with all this water pump and overheating i noticed my S-10 is now leaking ha ha but thats the kinda luck i have and will dutifily suck it up and happily repair it as im reparing my shovel and installing pads on the burb time to lock the garage door for a day or so chain my little dog to the entrance put on some head banging **** the nieghbors off tunes and take care of my buisiness oh on that question ya i think with the coolant low and temp high there could be some boiling in your system mike that would cause the pump to possibly suck air and produce what we in the bus biz call a water slug kinda what you descibed i think also can you tell if that weep hole has been dripping for a long time running it dry or cavitating as dscribed can also jack up the seals for lack of lubrication masking the real problem . something to look at if you want
