'04 2WD Tahoe Frt Whl Brngs
Heard low speed scrape-scrape sound from front, no change with engine rpm or pedal slightly pressed or trans in neutral. Replaced one frt wheel hub, spins quiet now but still has some sound from somewhere. Lifted other wheel up and when grabbed at 3-9 is tight but 6-12 has slight play. Do others of you have had BOTH go bad at the same time ? ? ? 82,000 careful miles. Replaced with SKF-NAPA hub for $230. Nice unit with new clips for the wires same as original. Thanks. *BW*
Welcome to the forum.
6-12 looseness might indicate balljoints. Take the weight off the wheel and while looking at the lower ball joint, move the wheel up and down with a pry bar and see if there's any relative movement between the control arm and the spindle assy.

Thanks 73 Shark. Good info. Went to Mr Goodwrench today. Explained/pleaded my situation that there was a problem in the mfg process or out of tolerance parts problem in assembly causing BOTH frt wheel bearings to fail early but at the same time. Short time later Mr Service Manager said he would install a new hub for about $150 total parts and labor. 1 hr later I paid only that and drove away pleased. Good luck to others with their problems and don't give up trying to get things fixed. *BW*
