Default 04 Suburban, kills at idle or when trying to reverse...

Just replaced the water pump and thermostat. Went to run the truck afterwards and it wont stay running unless I press the accelerator a bit. Kills when trying to reverse. When going forward, if Im not accelerating (coasting) it kills.

"Battery Not Charging" warning on dash board.

Did I mess something up when I was working on the coolant leak issue?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think so..... Also I let it sit a while and retried, now it will actually stay running even in reverse but it's idling very low. On verge of killing and also now the transmission light is on. I disco the neg batt cable when I changed the water pump. You think the battery reset or didn't reset something?

Might head to auto zone in morn and put it on the computer

Thx for your help Kevin

Now its totally fine. All warning lights are off. Starts well, idles strong... maybe the coolant had to circulate the system and/or batter reset the electrical system.. I have no idea.

For now, all good.
