Default 04 Tahoe - excess water leaking from engine

04 tahoe (4.8 --yes 4.8)...started to noticed than there is more than the normal leakage of water from up under the front end when the a/c is on. It is coming from the passenger side - up closer to the cab...we even had someone point it out to us a gas station as when had somewhat grown accustomed to it ---
any thoughts?

I guess it would depend on what you define as more than normal, and if it is just infact water or coolant etc...

if it's just water I wouldn't panic.

its not coolant...and i think of normal as either a drip every now and then or a slow steady drip...when you get finished sitting somewhere for a few minutes - a small puddle.....
this is more of a steady drip and the puddle is probably 3-4 times the size of what i would expect - noticeable

The water is due to condensation build up, have you recently serviced the AC system maybe its over charged? has it be particularly humid where you live?

kinda the opposite---actually dont think the a/c has ever been "serviced"-- always just blown cold--- heck it has +170k miles on it...and yes humid as all get out -- LA

It's not unusual for there to be a fairly large puddle if you sit in one place for several minutes w/ the A/C running and high humidity. If you have rear A/C, then there should be a puddle back by the right rear tire.
