I have a project I have been wanting to do, and seem to keep hitting bumps. I want to retrofit my quarter windows to turn them into vent windows. I spoke with a local automotive glass shop to find out a bit more about auto windows and found out that it is too brittle to drill through (which removes a lot of options, as I was originally going to take the hardware from a junk trailblazer) but apparently an excursion has glue on hardware. I have not been able to locate an excursion in any local yards and from what I've heard the glue tends to start failing, and it's not easy to find something to re attach them. Has anyone done this before, or have any ideas on where I can go from here? I've hit a lot of dead ends but I am determined to go through with this project, even if I have to save up money and try to have custom glass made.
